Hi, my brother is a soccer player. He has to jump or pivot in reaction to other athletes. Last month while playing he has landed flat-footed from a jump. After reaching home, his knee got swollen. It was very painful for him. He was taken to our family doctor. Doctor made him undergo Xray and he made sure that there is no bone injury. The same day itself he asked him to undergo MRI, as the results came, the doctor said that he is having an Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear. The doctor suggested to undergo surgery. But his trainer suggested undergoing sports injury rehabilitation from a clinic in North York ( http://www.teamtheraputix.ca/our_services/sports-injuries/ ). Will this rehabilitation help him? Is it compulsory to carry out the surgery for curing the ACL? Please help me out!!
