    Hello all,

I'm 100% addicted to the internet. I've wasted countless days and probably weeks of my life watching netflix or browsing reddit, facebook, and tumblr. I'm in school and it definitely affects my attendance and sometimes my grades. I think my friends notice, though I only have a few anymore.

I know it's not a serious issue but it has caused my quality of life to decrease significantly over the past three years and I don't think I'm capable of stopping. I really don't want to waste my life in front of my computer forever. I also don't want to miss opportunities or wish I could "relive my youth" when I'm older. I cancel plans to watch netflix. I lie to people I care about and most of all I'm just turning into a mindless consumer of all things internet.

I really have no will-power when it comes to what I do in my alone time or I would've stopped already. So where does that leave me?

Any ideas? Anyone going through something similar?

Break your electronic addiction with some common-sense tactics. They are not hard, and need no special drugs or resort treatment. A digital" target="_links">">digital addiction can sap your attention span, conversation skills, critical thinking and ability to relate to others. Fortunately, unlike some more addictive substances, it's easy to break on through.

Don't be too hard on yourself. There is a lot on the internet that I think is very mind expanding and educational for instance on Tumblr and also Facebook [depending on the topics.]
To break free from the internet join a club or take a class in something you have always been interested in! :=)
