  Thanks for all the recent activity members... We are growing as a family. Many of you are using our therapists, and getting great feedback. Others are getting good results seeking insight from other members in the free forums. We plan on making a lot of changes in may - such as merging the support groups and free forums, as well as letting you select which therapist you wish to get a response from. More updates to come!

    I can relate to how you are feeling. I felt trapped in my marriage for years. It didn't seem like anything helped. What I have discovered is that the marriage is only going to survive if you are 100 percent committed. With a 17 month old baby it seems like a bad time to leave the marriage. I think the more you focus on the negative aspects of any situation the less you will be able to cope. One thing that helped me was applying the 30 day Love Dare to my relationship. You can buy the book or get the movie. It is all about focusing on the positive. It took me more than 30 days to stop criticizing him in my head, let alone to his face. I can tell you it worked wonders when I stopped looking at the negatives. For a start you might just make a list of all his positive attributes. Try to compliment him every time he does something right. It works the same when you are training a toddler. Reward the positive behavior and try to ignore the bad behavior which may just be an attention getting device. I'm sure you have discovered that babies and husbands both act out to get attention/love. It is pretty much the same for everyone. We all like praise. Try praising God for your situation just the way it is. There is nothing so powerful on earth as praising God especially when you don't feel like it. Feelings don't matter. Do it enough and you'll discover your feelings will follow. Hope this helps. »»» See more
